The Egyptian Railway Museum is located in Cairo, near Ramses Square. Established in 1933, the museum showcases the evolution of rail transport in Egypt through a diverse collection of around 700 models, documents, and historical artifacts. Visitors can explore two floors dedicated to the country’s railway history, with an approximate tour length of one to two hours. Entry fees are EGP 50 for foreigners and EGP 5 for locals, and the museum is conveniently air-conditioned.

Notable exhibits include various miniature train models and a unique operational model train station on the second floor, which appeals to both children and adults. The displays are well-arranged and illuminated, providing a pleasant viewing experience. Though some visitors have noted the lighting could be improved for photography, the collection is regarded as an interesting glimpse into Egypt’s transportation heritage.
