Despite being the largets country in the world, Russia contains a surprisingly small amount of towns and cities with only 1,100 locations. The links below contain the list for each letter of the alphabet. The ones with little or no population have been removed.
It is important to note that the Russian alphabet is different than the Latin alphabet (the one we use for English). Because of this, some of the names of the cities are “transliterations”, which means they have been adapted to the letter of the Latin alphabet that has the closest sound to the equivalent Russian letter.
You will also find data for each location such as its population size, state, and other fun facts about each.
Compiling this list took a lot of work. I hope you enjoy it.
