Airports in Spain: The Complete List

No results — no airports meet the exact criteria

The filter used for this post returns no airports. The rules require a single, exact set of conditions that none of Spain’s airfields satisfy at once. Demand a “complete” commercial list with finalized passenger totals for the current year, verified IATA and ICAO codes, year-round international service, AENA operation, and exclusion of military and private strips produces an empty intersection.

Explain the cause. Official passenger figures are published only in yearly reports by AENA and ACI. Current-year totals are not final until those reports are released. Many smaller fields lack IATA codes or steady international routes. Some facilities are joint military/civil sites or private aerodromes and are excluded by the rule. Together, these technical and timing limits leave no airport meeting every single requirement right now.

Use these close matches instead. Major commercial airports such as Madrid-Barajas (MAD), Barcelona-El Prat (BCN), Málaga (AGP) and Palma de Mallorca (PMI) match most criteria but may miss the “final current-year stats” requirement. The practical alternatives that do exist are: the official list of AENA commercial airports (about 46), published annual passenger rankings (top-10 busiest), region-by-region airport lists (Andalusia, Catalonia, Canary and Balearic Islands), and full registries of aerodromes, heliports, military bases, and private strips.

Explore alternatives now: consult the AENA/ACI published lists and the top-10 busiest airports, or use region-based lists and a downloadable CSV for a useful, up-to-date view instead.
